LATE FATHER'S DAY HOWDY!!!

Hey Dads!! Yeah we are behind on holiday celebrations too!! We would like to take an opportunity to say Happy Father's Day to you all. We had a good day here and hope you did as well.
Thank you so much for all you do and certainly all you have done to help mold us into what we are today. Your wisdom and strength are amazing, and all the hard work you do to provide for us is greatly appreciated.
We hope to see you soon and perhaps an adventure to the desert is in order. We love having you visit, the kids love to see grandpa.

I miss you dad, it has been 12 long years since you passed. Feels like yesterday we were sitting around joking about life. I miss you and and your sense of humor, your insight fullness, and your love.

Summer Vacation

Wow it has been a while since I have updated our family blog. Sorry everyone, summer time fun keeps us very busy. We recently went to the local lakes for a little fun in the sun. We had a blast and took in tons of sun. Lotion to control the peeling is definitely a neccessity at this point. "Lance" is in town for a summer visit, Kayla is between soccer camp/tourney's/ and Justin just completed his All-Star Baseball tourney...he joined us late!!!

Fishin was decent, the summer rains were very appreciated, and the boating was out of sight. Our freinds Mitch & Krischelle joined us and suprised us by bringing Diggler. Was sure nice to see you Dirk!! Thank you everyone for your help and the good times.

Enjoy the pics, we will stay on top of updates now!!!!!!!!!

Schools Out!!!

Well its that time of year again, that time when the kids are so excited to no longer have to get up early, go to bed early, and that darn homework. In saying this, they will all be singing a completely different tune in approximately 10 days or so...you know the tune, I'm bored, There's nothing to do, and my favorite, can I borrow 5 bucks to go to the movies? Bless their hearts!!!
Well that's the way it goes and that is the way it has always gone to some degree or another!! Welcome to parenthood folks. It certainly looks different on this side of the fence...remember what it was like to be a kid??

Well the following pics are some pics of our first "Summer Time Fun" of the season...enjoy!!

Are You Ready Mom & Dad??

Traditions

I am really new on this whole blogger site, so I have alot of catching up to do! I have been looking through all my millions of photos and came across this picture of Halloween!

One of our family traditions is Halloween at my mom's house, YES you had to be dressed up! If you didn't have a costume my mother would show you the way to her dress up closet. This was one of my favorite holidays. We would all go to the pumpkin patch and was able to pick out our own, then we'd sit and carve them out with our own styles... It was such a rush to get all the kids done but what a relief when all said and done and the jack o lanters were all lite in front of grandma's house! Total came to 15, it was pretty brite.. LOL

When it came to dinner we always looked forward to the feast in the pumpkin. Oh ya! I said the pumpkin, it was amazing. The sweet pumpkin roll was to die for, one of my favorite dishes! The "wasille" excuse the spelling was a nice warm treat. It is a grape juice with cinnamon and cloves heated up. Yummy!!! All said and done with dinner, the kids would rush off to trick o treat and challenge each other who could get the most candy! And the sorting began and the dentist bill came later. If ya know what I mean!!!

I also wanted to give a nice tribute to my mother, having this family tradition at her house every year is so meaningful to me! She is such an amazing and giving women. TO put on this event at her house takes alot of planning and preperation and she has so much patience that she doesn't even bat an eye! Don't worry MOM, you'll have another post just about you...... YOU ARE THE BEST.................................

I love the fact that my entire family can get together and share these wonderful momments together and see the love for each other. I can't wait for this coming year to see all the new and upcoming ideas and yummy treats :)

The Cutest "FIVE"

I ran across this photo and decided to write a post. These are our wonderful children Josh, Justin, Kayla, Lance and Jesse. We went to the Hogle Zoo With Grandpa Kesler and Grandma Jody and had such a BLAST!! . They have taken all the Gran kids for the last few years. Grandpa Kesler and Grandma Jody are such awesome people, they have so many wonderful qualites and show their love to all my kids in their own special ways.

My kids have grown up so much, and so fast! Josh is a fantastic wrestler and almost graduated, (Boy I'm getting old) Justin is playing baseball now and doing wonderful, Kayla "Soccer" say no more :), Lance is also into baseball and has a great passion for it along with his NEW 4wheeler, Jessy is so cute! She is going into 2nd grade and learning so much. She is starting soccer and loving it. She lost her 1st front tooth and BOY was she stoked (Toothfairy) gave her a BIG $2.00, man I wish I got that.

I love all my kids, they are close to my heart! I enjoy watching them grow up and go through all the trial and errors. Its fun being a mother :) Hope you enjoy this fun colage

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day moms! Its your special day for your loved ones to show you our appreciation for you and all that you do. Moms no all and can do anything in the eyes of a child no matter their age. You work so hard to provide for your family by doing all those little things that so often go unnoticed. You pick us up when we are down, fix a scraped knee, help us with our home work, and you dabble a bit in psychology to help mend our hurt feelings. All of this on top of a hard day at work then several hours at home picking up after us and preparing all those meals...did I mention doing our laundry too? Your energy is seemingly endless, and your wisdom is always beyond your years. Thank you moms for all you do!

For those of us who have lost our moms, the appreciation for all you have done is immense and our memories of you on this special day are strong and filled with Joy and Sorrow, for we no you are no longer here to help us in our times of need or to share in our happiness and successes. I imagine it gets easier with time, but we miss you MOM!
